The first Toer de Geuze took place on October 19, 1997.

Four breweries and two distilleries opened their doors to the public. Since then, the open brewery day of the Pajottenland and the Zenne Valley has become a biennial event.

The previous editions of the Toer de Geuze took place on October 3, 1999, April 22, 2001, April 27, 2003, April 3, 2005, April 22, 2007, April 26, 2009, May 1, 2011, April 21, 2013, May 3, 2015, 6 and 7 May 2017, May 4 and 5, 2019 and April 30 and May 1, 2022.
